Altri due cantoni parlano francese, sono Friburgo e Vallese, ma quest\u2019ultimi una parte del cantone parla francese (64%) e l\u2019altra parte parla tedesco (36%). La citt\u00e0 de Neuch\u00e2tel \u00e8 bagnata dal lago che porta il suo stesso nome (lago di Neuch\u00e2tel) ed \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 grande lago interamente in territorio svizzero.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Storia della Citt\u00e0<\/strong><br \/>\nLe prime scritte di questa citt\u00e0 appaiono nel 1011, ed \u00e8 proprio quest\u2019anno che si festeggiano i mille anni della sua nascita. Il territorio a quell\u2019epoca era vassallo dei duchi di Bourgogne. Nel filo dei secoli Neuch\u00e2tel conobbe diverse dominazioni di Principi, Conti, Signorie, dinastie<br \/>\nprovenienti da tutta l\u2019Europa che hanno conferito ad un cambiamento architetturale della citt\u00e0 ed anche alla sua antica tradizione di apertura verso l\u2019Europa e nel mondo. Nel 1814 il cantone f\u00f9 accolto nella Confederazione Svizzera, nel 1848 integr\u00f2 pienamente la Svizzera moderna.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Il Castello<\/strong><br \/>\nHa conosciuto diversi nomi, ad esempio\u00a0: Novum Castellum 1011, Castrum Novum 12\u00b0 secolo, Neocomum 14\u00b0 secolo, Neufchatel\u00a0 ed infine nel 18\u00b0 secolo divenne definitivamente NEUCH\u00c2TEL.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Popolazione<\/strong><br \/>\nLa popolazione della citt\u00e0 \u00e8 di 32000 abitanti, tra cui 10000 (34%) stranieri a maggioranza italiani. La comunit\u00e0 italiana e la pi\u00f9 importante e la pi\u00f9 antica della citt\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Economia<\/strong><br \/>\nL\u2019economia di Neuch\u00e2tel si concentra nella microtecnologia, micromeccanica, micromagnetica e biochimica.<br \/>\nNel settore secondario \u00e8 l\u2019industria dell\u2019orologeria che contribuisce ad un\u2019ottima reputazione della regione.<br \/>\nPhilip Morris SA impiega oltre un migliaio d\u2019operai nella sua fabbrica di sigarette.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Neuch\u00e2tel pioniere dell\u2019integrazione<\/strong><br \/>\nIl cantone di Neuch\u00e2tel costituisce un esempio per la sua politica d\u2019integrazione degli stranieri. Infatti il diritto di voto per i stranieri a livello comunale esiste da molto tempo, e da quest\u2019anno\u00a0 possono votare anche al livello cantonale, un modello da esportare in qualche paese europeo.<\/p>\n<p>Piazza Pury<br \/>\nNegli anni \u201860 in questa piazza mitica, la domenica era il punto di ritrovo degli emigranti italiani, tra cui i Morcianesi.
